LISTEN UNDERSTAND SPEAK

The audio parts of  the Lesson Plan introduces the teacher to listen to the language. Soon the ears become accustomed to the new rhythms and sounds. Listening to the language enables the students to start thinking in the language and with a little imagination they can start to realize how they will sound in the new language. The more they listen the more they begin to understand the tones and meaning of the new language.

With this device the pupils start speaking, imitating and later taking part in conversation.

With practice and repetition the speech becomes more and more similar to the speaker they hear.

The conversational skills develop as they listen understand and speak.

HOSTEL

Since the time of its  inception, in 1912 the founders felt the intense need for having residential facilities for Muslim girls as it was neither safe nor permissible at that time for young girls to travel long distances in search of academics. To do away with this handicap, initially a humble beginning was made with just six beds.

Today the Hostel complex has a capacity to house 300 students from all the units of the college i.e. The Degree, Intermediate and Primary Sections. Now, since 2005, separate facilities have been arranged for B.Ed. students also.

There is a separate Reading Room, and a well maintained Dining Hall with modern amenities. The residential rooms are equipped with all facilities so that QUALITY is maintained and a wholesome growth is strengthened.

PLAYGROUND / SPORTS FIELD

There is a provision for a huge and a spacious sports field which is used for  Annual Sports Day and Exhibition matches. The sports field is used for Regular practices for Girls Hockey/Basketball and other different sports activities. The college has participated and was declared “Runners” at National level in All India Women Junior Hockey Tournament. State  Women Hockey Tournaments are also being organized and held in the College Sports Field.
