B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
A graduate or post graduate with 50% marks in aggregate from any stream and 55% marks in B.E. or B.Tech. Examination is eligible to apply for admission to B.Ed. course.
Given below is the revised syllabus 2015 of the B. Ed. Program. The University reserves the right to update, revise or delete the Curriculum from time to time.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
Course Objectives
1. To enable the prospective teachers to understand the nature purpose and Philosophy of school Education.
2. To develop competencies, values and skills required for becoming an reflective and humane teacher.
3. To sensitize them towards the promotion of social cohesion National integration and International understanding,
4. To enable them to address gender issues and protection of human rights.
5. To prepare them for dynamic leadership
6. To empower to teachers to cultivate scientific temper among students.
7. To enable them to utilize community resources as educational inputs.
8. To develop communication skills, train them to use modern information and communication technology for school purposes.
9. To train them in conducting action research in educational situation and to improve the pedagogical practices in their subjects.
ORDIDANCES
(A) Duration of Course:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course shall be a two year full time professional preservice teacher education programme with each year divided in two semesters.
First semester shall be from 16th July to 30th November and the stretch of the second semester shall be from 5th December to 20th April. At the end of each semester the candidates shall be required to present themselves for examination.
It shall be a full time course including Theory, Practice in teaching, internship, field work, professional development and other prescribed activities.
(B) Eligibility criteria:
The eligibility requirement for the admission of the candidates to B.Ed. course shall be in accordance with the eligibility criteria determine by NCTE/ U.P. Govt. Order issued from time to time.
(C) Procedure of Admission:
(1) Admission to B.Ed. course shall be made in accordance with State Govt. Order and notifications issued from time to time.
(2) Reservation of seats shall be as per State Government notifications.
(D) The Four Semesters:
1. First and third Semester of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme shall be four and half month long (16th July to 30th November) excluding semester-end examination and five days semester break.
2. Second and fourth Semester of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme shall be four and half month long (5th December to 20th April).
(E) Standard of Passing:
I. The candidate must obtain at least 40% marks in each theory paper
separately with aggregate marks of 50% in total.
II. Minimum passing marks in Educational Psychology Practical, Practice in
Teaching and Internship shall be 50%.
III. Successful candidates shall be placed in two divisions both in theory and
Practice in teaching examinations separately as under:
A First division: candidates obtaining 60% or more aggregate marks.
B Second division: candidates obtaining not less than 50% and below 60%
of aggregate marks.
In order to pass the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) examination the candidates are also
required to participate within stipulated time in professional development activities and to
obtain a minimum ‘C’ grade.
(F) Awards of Degree:
The degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) of the University of Lucknow shall be
awarded to candidates who have pursued a regular course of study in the university
and have fulfilled all the conditions and have passed the prescribed examinations.

Faculty members participated in the PM Modi addresses Inaugural Conclave of Shikshak Parv 2021.
A Mobile Book Exhibition was organised by the College Library on 15th July 2021. Our College participated in Book Exhibition Van (an initiative of National Book Trust, New Delhi). The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Sehar Hussain (Principal). It displays many books on various theme like books on Gandhi, Nehru, Constitution, Social reformer, Indian History and many more. Books are available in English, Urdu and Hindi languages. Children books like story books, picture dictionary etc. are also available in the exhibition. Our teachers, Library staffs and students purchased many books of their interest.

Karamat College Hosts a Zonal Seminar
The Committee on Girls’ Education organized a Zonal Seminar on “Empowerment of Minority Girls Through Education” on 15 Feb 2011. The Chief Guest For the occasion was Hon’ble Mr. Justice M.S.A. Siddiqui, Chairman, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions New Delhi.
His address focused on some serious issues of how to reduce drop out rates in schools and to adopt suitable measures to attract minority girls towards education.
Dr. Mohinder Singh and Dr. Cyriac Thomas, Members of the Commission were Guest of Honour. The Function was organized at the Auditorium of the B.Ed. Dept. and Syed Shuaib Ahmed Saheb, Manager of the College was Convenor of the Seminar. Dr. Shabistan Gaffar, Chairperson of the Committee gave a report on the work done by the Committee since its inception in 2007.
Dr. Qamar Rehman, Member of the Committee, in her Keynote Address, talked of the need of imparting Technical Education to Minority Girls. Prof. Roop Rekha Verma, former VC, Lucknow University supported the issue of educating the girl child by quoting from a letter in the State Archives written by Justice Syed Karamat Husain, Founder of the College “Latest modern education should be given to women”.
